visible. connected. free. is an invitation to celebrate GEDOK’s anniversary and discover contemporary female artists from Munich and all over Germany. Three locations will create a multi-layered resonance space for female perspectives in art: the Rathausgalerie, hosted by DG Kunstraum, the MaximiliansForum, and the galerieGEDOKmuc will showcase 30 female artists—and a history that is writing the future—contemporary, interdisciplinary, with attitude. Between networks and needle points, sound bodies and body images, performance and poetry, the focus is on visibility and freedom in thinking, creating, and showing. For nine weeks, artistic energy meets the public – with exhibitions, art walks, talks, performances, and open formats. A century of GEDOK – and we are just getting started.
