Control Out of Control is an agency founded in 2025 by a group of borderland residents living and working between Belgium and Serbia. Through the development of border guard personas, we (re)create bordering documents, protocols, and scenarios. Working across visual art, performance, choreography, text, and research, we investigate land border crossings, their institutional logics, and their territorial and aesthetic expansion. Drawing on our experience of coming from the Balkans, we explore practices of surveillance, mobility, and the politics of public space, tracing how regional histories, anxieties, and border regimes resonate within broader European contexts.
