The Tiger Room presents an exhibition of Benedikt Fischer’s jewellery and objects, with a focus on his collaboration with Rudy de Gruyl. On display are works from Fischer’s graduation from the Gerrit Rietveld Academy to the present day.
Fischer’s jewellery art is based on transformation and reinterpretation. He works with materials that carry their own meaning and presents them in a new light. His works reflect the tension between nature and culture – a theme that reflects his personal development from a rural background to the city.
One highlight is his collaboration with Rudy de Gruyl, a neurodivergent painter and philosopher from the Outside Art Gallery in Amsterdam. De Gruyl’s spontaneous approach enriches their creative dialogue.
The exhibition in the Tiger Room not only shows Fischer’s artistic development, but also the power of collaboration in contemporary jewellery art.
