We are delighted to invite you to our exhibition with TALISA LALLAI. Lallai (b. 1989, Frankfurt a.M.) lives and works in Düsseldorf. Her work is deeply rooted in questions of identity and cultural perception. She explores landscapes and places that carry both personal and historical significance. Her work engages with the idealization and stereotyping of the South, investigating how these constructed narratives shape collective memory and imagination. For Atmosphere, Lallai presents a new series of works based on photographs taken in the Giardino di Ninfa on a single midsummer day. The garden, often described as an ideal landscape, is neither a sanctuary nor a relic—it is a carefully curated vision, shaped by history, preservation, and decay. Lallai’s restrained approach strips away nostalgia, revealing the tension between nature and artifice, permanence and transience. Arcadia, in this context, is not a fixed place but an evolving projection, an image that remains just out of reach.
