Video Still from the Installation overexposed/underexposed by Mila Zhluktenko and Daniel Asadi Faezi at Munich Documentation Centre for the History of National Socialism, 2025 — Credits: nsdoku

As part of the opening, the two filmmakers Mila Zhluktenko and Daniel Asadi Faezi will talk about their work and present the project together with curator Anke Hoffsten. Moderator: Sapir von Abel.
The video installation overexposed/underexposed examines eight places in Munich that have a history of terrorist violence. People were killed, injured and traumatised at these locations for right-wing extremist, racist and anti-Semitic motives. The work creates a concentrated space that allows people to pause and reflect. The filmmakers are graduates of the University of Television and Film Munich. They explore non-fictional narrative formats in joint projects. A recurring theme in their work is the role of places, their complicated histories and the realities of life interwoven with them. Their co-directed short films have already been shown at several international festivals and won awards.
