Tourmaline is an artist, filmmaker, writer, and activist whose work reimagines queer history and honors the forerunners who shaped it. As an extension of the exhibition “Andy Warhol & Keith Haring. Andy Warhol,” two of Tourmaline’s film works are presented at Museum Brandhorst. Both are dedicated to the renowned artist and trans activist Marsha P. Johnson: “Pollinator” (2022) in the museum’s media room and the short film “Happy Birthday, Marsha!” (2018), created in collaboration with Sasha Wortzel, at a screening and artist talk in cooperation with FILMFEST MÜNCHEN.
