The two artists Martin Fengel and Martin Wöhrl share a fondness for the banalities of everyday life and the beauty in supposedly simple things. As a photographer and a sculptor, they explore the world of model railroads and create an expansive kinetic sculpture in the Rathausgalerie. Martin Fengel is a photographer and artist. In addition to numerous publications of his illustrations and photographs for various magazines, he has exhibited in many national and international exhibition venues. The work of sculptor Martin Wöhrl is defined by the influence of Minimal Art. In many of his artworks, he quotes its already classical aesthetic, often ironically refracted through the use of simple, some-times found materials.
The two artists share a playful approach, their renunciation of pathos and exaggeration and a pronounced sense of subtle humor.
Admission to the exhibition and participation in the programs are free.
