The Zwischenzustand describes that fragile situation in which something is no longer what it was, yet not quite what it will become. A state of suspension, of transition, of becoming. It can unsettle, but also liberate; it carries fractures, but also possibilities.
The exhibition invites visitors to explore such states of suspension. The works on display move between the familiar and the unfamiliar, between structure and dissolution, between private gaze and collective experience. Like a picnic, they form a temporary space: open, unfinished, fragmentary – and precisely in this, full of potential.
