In conversation with curator Petra Giloy-Hirtz, Benedikt Hipp offers insights into his artistic practice, his current exhibition Open Cluster at nouveaux deuxdeux, and his new monograph SONGS FROM THE ORBS, published by Hatje Cantz. Bringing together works and exhibitions from recent years, the publication places particular emphasis on Hipp’s ceramic practice. The conversation will address central concerns within his work and his ongoing exploration of the body, materiality, and transformation across different media.
