The ten artists of the last exhibition at Artothek & Bildersaal will deal with the surfaces of the art space, expand it, shape it, dock on, inscribe themselves, search for traces of art, tidy up, find things never seen and bring something back for the last party.
Over 200 exhibitions have left their mark on the Artothek’s Bildersaal. The artists have made the space, the surfaces, the levels their own, imposed their will on the space. Appropriation. Each time was an end and a new beginning. They have told their stories, layered narratives. Leaving layers behind. Art is what remains until the end. Everything becomes visible. We grind the Artothek!
