In the solo exhibition “Imaginary Machine” we celebrate Vera Molnár, the Hungarian-French pioneer of computer-based art and co-founder of generative aesthetics. A concise selection of works traces her path from early plotter drawings of the 1960s to later algorithmic series in which Molnár programmed her own “imaginary machine” to explore line, order, and chance. By translating mathematical rules into visual form, she challenged conventional notions of authorship and beauty, anticipating today’s digital art practices.
