Tami Amit (born 1972 in Tel Aviv) lives and works in Paris, France. Trained as a photographer, she initially created cinematic images hovering between fiction and reality. Since the 2010s, she has focused on painting and works on paper. Her work merges Abstract Expressionism, Colour Field painting, and graffiti through a post-Pop lens. Using artificial, pastel, highly saturated colours, Amit creates boundless, anti-hierarchical painterly worlds that oscillate between control and chance, offering a hallucinatory counterpart to nature.
