Nana Petzet is the granddaughter of Wolfgang Petzet. Before 1945, Wolfgang Petzet was Otto Falckenberg’s most important colleague, serving as chief dramaturg at the Münchner Kammerspiele. In 1944, Falckenberg was included in the list of the ‘God-gifted’. Even after 1945, Wolfgang Petzet continued to champion Otto Falckenberg’s genius.
Nana Petzet is working on a transcription of her grandfather’s diaries. In her artistic research project “Oh Opa”, she is drawing on the current interest in Otto Falckenberg to engage in dialogue with experts about the behaviour of the Falckenberg/Petzet duo at Hitler’s favourite theatre.
