Nana Petzet is Wolfgang Petzet’s granddaughter. Before 1945, Wolfgang Petzet was Otto Falckenberg’s most important colleague, serving as chief dramaturg at the Münchner Kammerspiele. Falckenberg was included in the ‘List of the Divinely Gifted’ in 1944. Even after 1945, Wolfgang Petzet continued to portray Otto Falckenberg as a genius.
Nana Petzet is campaigning for a transcription of her grandfather’s diaries. In her artistic research project “Oh Opa”, she is drawing on the current interest in Otto Falckenberg to engage with experts on the behaviour of the Falckenberg/Petzet duo at Hitler’s favourite theatre.
