In our increasingly digitalised everyday lives, it is becoming more and more difficult to draw a clear line between the virtual and the real world, between fantasy and reality. Rooted in the gaming world himself, Ramirez creates a prototype of a video game from which the clone seems to have jumped straight into the shop window of EYESONLY and entered real life. The boundaries between gaming and art, between virtual and real experience, become blurred. Raminez realises her artistic work with highly sophisticated computer programmes and animations as well as with physical fabrics and a sewing machine. The satin-covered object radiates the artificiality, smoothness and slipperiness of fictional beings.
