What does tinder mean, what does delicacy mean – and how can these opposites be translated into artistic practice? In the first artist talk for the ‘Zunder und Zartheit’ exhibition, we will be talking to several participating artists about their works, their attitude – and about how they have read, questioned and perhaps also challenged the curatorial text for the exhibition.
The discussion will not only provide insights into individual works, but also into thought processes, working methods and artistic biographies. How do men position themselves today in a changing art world? What new images of manhood are emerging in the studio – beyond pathos, armour and pose?
