Sperling is excited to present Malte Zenses as part of Various Others 2025 in the gallery’s new location in Munich-Maxvorstadt. The exhibition is a two-part show in collaboration with Pequod Co., Mexico City, where the artist will simultaneously have his first solo presentation following a residency in autumn 2024.

Pt. 1 Pinturas para perros: Durchhalten galore! Pequod Co. Mexico City Opening April 11th

Pt. 2 Durchhalten galore! Pinturas para perros. Sperling, Munich Opening May 9th

Attracted by the aesthetics of subcultures, music, and the zines and symbols of counterculture, Malte Zenses follows a cross-media approach. His work critically reflects the zeitgeist, evoking a sense of disillusionment—one rooted in the realization that societal collapse is man-made, driven by power and greed. His inspiration emerges from socio-political research, notes, places, or snapshots, embedding personal references that invite the viewer’s own interpretations.
