Zafos Xagoraris’ artwork includes installations, often using sound, that isolate and reconstruct material details of past events that refer to the present. These installations also often intervene in the urban fabric, temporarily altering everyday conditions, and address issues such as alternative education and the institutional role of artistic or architectural design.
He has participated in exhibitions such as the 58th Venice Biennale, documenta14 (Athens and Kassel), the 4th Athens Biennale, the 1st Fin del Mundo Bienal (Ushuaia), the 1st Thessaloniki Biennale and the 27th São Paulo Biennial.
His works have been shown in numerous solo shows, two of them at Francoise Heitsch’s Gallery.
