Gunia Nowik Gallery presents Daniel Rycharski (born 1986 in Sierpc, Poland) with the outstanding sculpture “Tender Armor” (2026), a 3D-printed object made of PLA plastic, entirely encased in knitted knight’s armour, measuring 190 × 60 × 50 cm. Rycharski describes himself as a conceptual and avant-garde artist, and works in various media, with installations at the forefront of his artistic practice. In 2005–2009, Rycharski studied graphic design at the Faculty of Art of the Pedagogical University of Kraków. He then pursued a PhD at the Kraków Academy of Fine Arts. He works with the themes of provinciality, religiosity, Christianity, and LGBTQ+ identity, seeking tensions and new relations between them. In that, Rycharski’s art also manifests his personal quest of a realm in which non-heteronormativity and the Catholic faith can coexist.
