The portrait-both as a medium of human individuality in the classical sense and in its abstract and varied forms-remains a central theme in contemporary art. In our exhibition IM PORTRAIT, we present works by Ilit Azoulay, Phoebe Derlee, Hannes Heinrich, Gregor Hildebrandt, Karin Kneffel, Oliver Laric, Janina Roider, Eva Schlegel, Sybille Springer, Juergen Staack and other artists who explore the face as an artifact in diverse ways.
