Traditionally, the “Frontier” symbolizes the boundary between civilization and wilderness, deeply connected to the myth of the pioneering spirit. In a contemporary interpretation, this external border is shifting inward.
The collaborative project “Inner Frontier” between Munich (NEBYULA) and Krakow (Piana Gallery) explores this shift, highlighting internal conicts and tensions in society and culture. It reinterprets boundaries between civilization and wilderness, between East and West, and within political and cultural communities.
A duo exhibition will take place: Munich presents Polish artists Anna Raczyńska and Michał Zawada, who create a liminal space between ancient Polish myths and contemporary society. Their works navigate between order and chaos, challenging conventional ideas of internal and external borders.
Through a diverse program, “Inner Frontier” fosters a creative dialogue, inviting the audience to rethink and break down boundaries.
