Coinciding with Annika Eriksson’s current exhibition “and order” at Kunstverein München, this screening revisits “Arbeitswelt” (2003), commissioned for the artist’s first solo presentation at the institution twenty-three years ago.
“Arbeitswelt” was filmed at the Munich offices in the newly completed headquarters of the reinsurance company Swiss Re in autumn 2002. The piece comprises interviews with 55 employees, who were invited by Eriksson to show their favourite spot in the building and reflect on what the idea of ‘security’ means to them.
The screening will be followed by a conversation between Annika Eriksson and the curator and writer Juliette Desorgues.
