Mathew Hale is a visual artist, writer, and curator based in Berlin and Los Angeles. He has presented solo exhibitions in cities including Paris, London, New York, San Francisco, Mexico City, Melbourne, and Kitakyushu (Japan) and has participated in numerous group exhibitions. Hale works in a wide variety of media with a particular interest in “free drawing” as theorized by Marion Milner, one of Britain’s most influential psychoanalysts, whose assistant he was for the final eight years of her life.
A publication on the FACTS OF LIFE drawings will be released at the end of the exhibition at Sperling (in September)
